Managing the Multiple Dimensions of Risk

I am pleased to announce the recent publication of the second edition of "The Risk Management Handbook: A Practical Guide to Managing the Multiple Dimensions of Risk." I was privileged to be asked to write a new chapter on "Climate Change Risk Management".

Risk management is a constantly evolving field, with new risks emerging and innovative techniques being adapted to tackle challenges head-on. In this second edition, leading experts from various risk management domains, including political, supply chain, cybersecurity, ESG, and climate change risk, come together to share their expertise and showcase best practices in each discipline.

In my chapter I explain the importance that risk managers will need to play in supporting organizations in identifying, assessing and managing climate-related risk and opportunities and integrating them within existing Enterprise Risk Management frameworks. This integration should aim to provide a number of benefits including an improved risk appetite framework and risk mitigation strategies across most areas of an organization’s risk profile.

Whether you are a seasoned risk professional striving to stay ahead of the game, or a student seeking a comprehensive introduction to risk management, or a business leader aiming to understand and address the risks that your organization faces, "The Risk Management Handbook" offers expert guidance for all.
